Two fragments of an Escheator's Roll for the county of Somerset (a) begins with the words `vxoris eius' mentions Thomas (Burgh) and Margaret his wife, also Sir Roger Tokets, kt., John Cheny, John Sydenham, senior, John Newburgh, Gregory Westby; mentions that on the death of Margaret Hungerford the aforesaid were seized in their demesne as of a free tenement and that their lands have remained in the King's hands since 29 June `Anno 18' by reason of alienation without license Mentions the aforesaid manors of Newton Seynclo and Publew. Mentions a fine levied on the morrow of All Souls in the fourth year of the now king's reign, between John Perris, clerk, John Momperson, esq., and John Mervyn esq., plaintiffs, and the said Margaret Hungerford now deceased (by the name of Margaret Lady Hungerford, kt., and Ann his wife.) Sir Thomas Burgh and Margaret his wife, deforciants of the manors of Newton, Seynclo and the Chantry of Alre. Margaret Lady Hungerford's death seems to have occurred on 7 February `Anno 17' (b) mentions lands in Chedder and Westbury which Isabella, widow of Thomas Rodney held in dower, John Rodney their son; Isabella died 16 Edward IV. Mentions also a third part of the Bailwick or Bedelry of Westperet, of part of which Sir William Stourton, kt. was seized on the day he died (18 Feb, 17 Edward IV Margaret, widow of the said Sir William
