Probate of the will of Stephen Mumford of Stratford-upon-Avon, bricklayer, dated 11 November 1781, bequeathing to his two friends, James Irons of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, and William Featherston of the same, innholder, a messuage in his tenure in Ely Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, to hold in trust to sell and divide the profits between his two daughters, Elizabeth Mumford, spinster, and Amey Hill, wife of Joseph Hill of Stratford-upon-Avon, peruk-maker, and his niece, Mary Howard who now lives with him. Proved in the Peculiar Court of Stratford.
