Lease from John Payton of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, to William Barke of the same, innholder, of a capital messuage called the White Lion Inn, with all its outbuildings and stables, etc., and three pieces of adjoining land called Smith's Ground, the Sling and the Long Ground, all in the tenure of the said William Barke for 21 years at an annual rent of £180.
