Quitclaim from John Damas of Coventr' chaplain, to John son of Nicholas Michel of Coventr' of all his right in a messuage in Coventr' which he the said John Damas and the said John son of Nicholas formerly had by the grant of William Horne, and which lies in `vico comitis' [Earl Street] at the Broadgate (latam portam) between the tenement of William Skathelok' and the tenement formerly belonging to Robert Coke, mercer. Witnesses: Henry Clerk', mayor of Coventr', Richard Buttere and John de Swyneshed, bailiffs of the same, Nicholas Michel, Richard de Stoke, William le Goldesmyth', John de Manby, clerk, and others. Dated at Coventr', 10 April, 37 Edward III. Seal on tag: oval, red. The Virgin and Child (?) with a figure kneeling before them. Legend indecipherable.
