Description

Quitclaim with warranty from David de Wytel' to Sir Geoffrey de Langel' and his heirs by Matilda his wife of all his right in the moiety of the mill of Partho situated in the fee of Stiuyhchale with pasture and moor lying next to the said mill and all other appurtenances belonging to the said mill, except the arable land which the said David holds of the same fee (de eodem) in the field of Stiutchhale; which moiety etc. the said David once held from the said Geoffrey; to hold to the said Geoffrey and his heirs, or in default of the same, to his other heirs; and for this the said Geoffrey gives 20 shillings. Witnesses: Sir William Trussel, sheriff of Warwyk' [1246-8] Sir Robert de Handesacr', Viell de Folckeshul, William de Wytel', Osbert Duredent, John Beyer, Nicholas Fordwyne, William de Pynele, Richard Gatesterce, Roger de Coventr', clerk and others.
