Description

Lease with warranty from John lord of Segrave, knight, to Adam Rude of Gretteford of a piece of land with buildings thereon called le Chefmes together with seven and a half acres of arable land with appurtenances in Stiyveschale which Henry le Couper' of Coventr' held of the grantor, half an acre which William Pykerel held of Joylinus de Styveschale, one acre which Robert le Wodeward' held of the said Joylinus, one acre which Alice,once the wife of Geoffrey le Luf', held of the same, and that piece of meadow called le Heye which William le Westurne held of the same; to hold of the grantor for the life of the said Adam, rendering annually one mark at the four usual terms in Styveschal and suit of court twice a year.
