Description

1. Edward Fordham Flower of Stratford-upon-Avon, Esquire 2. the vicar and churchwardens of the parish of Stratford-upon-Avon (as Trustees of the National School in the said parish). 1 to 2 of all that piece or parcel of land containing 2370 square yards situate in the parish of Old Stratford fronting on the Eastern side thereof to Back Lane and bounded on the North Western side thereof by the National Schools aforesaid and on the Southern side thereof by other land of the said Edward Fordham Flower. For the use as a site for a School for Infant Poor Persons of and in the borough of Stratford-upon-Avon and the parish of Old Stratford/National School. With colour plan of property also showing a tree. Also 2 to 1 of all that piece of land containing 1294 square yards in the parish of Old Stratford late in the occupation of James Davenport [vicar] and his undertenants being part of an allotment of land awarded in 1775 to the churchwardens for the purposes of getting stone, gravel and other materials for repairing the road and highways in Stratford, Welcombe and Bishopton, and for erecting an Hospital for the use of the Poor of Stratford, Welcombe, and Bishopton.
