Description

Acknowledgement by Richard vicar of the church of St. Michael of Coventr' that he has received from his lord, the Prior and convent of Coventr', two furlongs (culturas) belonging to the chapel of Stivechal' with a meadow belonging to the said furlongs; to hold of the said prior during the term of the life of the said Richard, paying annually 6 pence at Michaelmas and Lady Day; and after the death of the said Richard the said property to revert to the said prior. Witnesses: Richard de Bokervill', Henry de Rodinton', Henry le Pestur', Anketil de Wikewau', Reg[inald] Ruffo, William Lewin, John le Parcheminer' and others. Seal on tag; white fragments only wrapped in silk. Endorsed: i) Stivechale [AG] ii) Carta vicarii St. Michaelis in Coventry de duabus peciis terre et una pecia prati pertinentes ad capellam de Stychall [AG] iii) perquisit' per litteras patentes H viii per Thomam Gregory [AG]
