Description

Demise with warranty from Edmund Horde of Styvechale to Robert de Barwe of Styvechale of a half of all the lands and tenements which the said Edmund had by the gift of the said Robert and John de Barwe, son of the said Robert, in Styvechale, as is more fully shown in the charter of the said Robert; to hold for the life of the said Robert, rendering annually one rose at the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist and rendering due and customary service to the chief lord. Witnesses: Oliver Burdet, Robert Burdet, William Gylkes, John Huwet, John Clerk and others. Dated at Styvechale, 20 December 14 Richard II Seal on tag; circular, red. The letters IhC under a canopy surmounted by a cross. Endorsed: i) Barwe de Styvechale [15th century] ii) Edmund Hord to Rob.
