Description

Gift with warranty from Ranulph son of Hugh Preest of Stivechale to Richard de Essceby in Coventr' of half a virgate of meadow which the said Ranulph held in the common pasture of Stivechale lying next to the meadow of John le Heyr; namely in the common pasture lying between the bridge of Bathekynton' on the one hand and between the mill called le Lowemulne on the other; to hold of the said Ranulph with all easements, rendering annually one rose at the feast of St. John the Baptist; and for this the said Richard gives 30 shillings. Witnesses: Joylinus de Stivechale, John de Barwe of the same, Geoffrey son of Ralph de Whytele, Walter son of Robert le Wodeward of Stivechale, John le Heir of the same, John de Canneley of the same and others. Seal on tag; oval, green. A radiated cross beneath the letters S T. Legend: S'RANULPH' FIL' HUGON' PRE'.
