Description

Lease with warranty from Godfrey de Whyteleye to Thomas de Wyschawe of Coventr', butcher, and Agnes, his wife, of three furlongs (quatronas) of meadowland in Styvychale; to hold to the said Thomas and Agnes for four years from 25 March 18 Edward III so that the said Thomas and Agnes have four crops, rendering annually one grain of pepper, and at the end of the four years ten shillings. Witnesses: William des Okes, Thomas de Baruwe, Walter scribe,and others. Dated at Coventr', in the feast of St. Mary in March, 18 Edward III. Seal on tag; brown, imperfect. Endorsed: i) Gal. Frebern ii) Galfrydus dominus de Whyteley, filius Radulphi de Whytely [AG] iii) vide scriptum David' Whitley [AG]
