Description

Gift from Richard Blaby and John Haydon', chaplains, and Peter de Weston' of Coventre, `corsour', to Robert Ruyton' of Coventre of three acres of arable land with hedges in the field of Styvechale called Deysyesland', which the said grantors had by the gift of Richard Teynton', Geoffrey Peek, Henry de Keel and John Mathewe; to hold the same for ever of the chief lord of the fee. Witnesses: John Clerc of Styvechale the younger, John Huwet, John Clerk the elder, John Baker, Richard Huwet of Stevechale and others. Dated at Stevechale 25 September 16 Richard II Broad tag split in three; seals i and ii lost; iii, large fragment of circular, white seal; defaced. Endorsed: i) Carta Ricardi Blaby Johannis Heydon' capellanorum et Petri de Weston' facta Roberto de Ruyton' de Coventr' de tribus acris terre vocatis Daysyeslond' in campis de Styvechale etc. [contemp.] ii) A grant of Richard Blaby and others to Robert Ruyton' of Coventry of 3 acrees of arable in Stychale called Daysie land.
