Description

Gift with warranty from Gregory de Aula to Roger de Waithale, for his service of one selion which lies between Neubug and Wodehouses next the land of Osbert, brother of the grantor, towards the east, containing three perches; to hold the same of the said Gregory, rendering annually 3 pence (2 terms). Witnesses: Robert Thakel, Geoffrey de Brunham, Robert de Brunham, Robert le Noreis, Geoffrey son of John, Geoffrey Long, Peter de Brunham and others. Tag, seal lost. Endorsed: Weythale Date: Osbert de Aula was dead by 1297. (V.C.H.Warws. vi p.10n.) Place: Ralph Thakel and Robert Norris held land of Nigel de Moubray in Axholme (Fees ii,p.1462). Burnham is also in Axholme.
