Copy of proceedings in court in the case between Bartholomew Lynton', plaintiff, and Edward Bayle, yeoman, in which the plaintiff alleged that although one Thomas Lysley owed him 52 pounds and the defendant, by an agreement of 20 August 1 Elizabeth, in the parish of St. Christopher in London, assumed the responsibility for the payment of the debt, he had nevertheless defaulted, and the plaintiff, who was indebted to one John Smythe in 52 pounds and not easily able to pay because of the defendant's default, had suffered 100 pounds damages. Endorsed: a good presydent in an acceon of trespas of the case.
