Description

Copy will of Thomas Hartwell, Darlingscote, Tredington, tanner. To wife Sarah for life or widowhood : £30 annuity chargeable on real and personal estate : best bed, bedstead and its furnishing. To only child, by first wife Mary Barnes, Thomas Edden Hartwell : all real estate subject to annuity above. residue of personal estate. To brother Joseph Hartwell, Blackwell, Tredington, £10. To sisters Mary Hartwell and Ann Gibbs, wife of Thomas, of Darlingscote: £5 each. To John White, Darlingscote, labourer: £5. To poor of Darlingscote and Blackwell: £5 each village. Executor: son Thomas Edden Hartwell. Witnesses: Elizabeth Wheler, Robert Bell Wheler, and John Elliott, all of Stratford-upon-Avon. Proved in Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 7 April 1819. 16 December 1836: Administration of goods left unadministered granted to Joseph Hartwell, executor of T.E. Hartwell, deceased. 11 July 1837: Further administration granted to George Tovey Hartwell, administrator of Joseph (deceased).
