Description

Probate of will (dated 15 April 1831) of Anne Aucott, Chipping Campden, spinster. All money and investments to Charles Freeman, Hidcote, Glos., gent. On Trust to convert stocks and pay legacies £30 to Edward Townsend Higgins, Russell Square, London, esq. Residue to be invested. Interest to sister Elizabeth Aucott for life, then equally between brothers William and Samuel Aucott or survivor for life, then to divide principal between nephews and nieces, viz (1) Henry, Fanny, Betsey, Richard, Charles, Ann and Rachel - children of Samuel. (2) Children of deceased brother Joseph Aucott. £40 each to brothers William and Samuel. £40 between children of Samuel. Residue to sister Elizabeth and household goods. Witnesses: J R Griffiths, solicitor, Campden, C H Griffiths, his clerk. Proved in Prerogative Court of Canterbury; sworn under £600.
