Wills and testamentary papers
Case, with opinion of John Mellor, Temple, arising from the disputed will of Elizabeth Wheatcroft [see ER5/1292] who died 1839. By her will, testatrix devised premises in Stratford-upon-Avon in the occupation of Thomas Freeman, to Mary Busson, Alcester, spinster. The will was disputed by the heir at law George Harborne to whom Freeman attorned tenant and to whom he has paid rent. Mary Busson has issued action against Freeman for arrears of rent.
