Indentures of Lease and Release dated 1 2 June 1756, by Shirley Woolmer, Wapping London, New crane, fishmonger, and Elizabeth his wife to William and Henry Roberts, both of Stratford-upon-Avon, bakers, of a certain messuage in Chapel Street theretofore in the occupations of Richard Cooper, Robert Horseman, Thomas Tims and widow Dadley, and then of [Francis] Hart, and widow Dadley, which premises were bo nded on the north by the house of William Halford, housepainter, and on the south by the Falcon Inn, and also a little close containing three quarters of an acre, on the west side of the said premises occupied by --- Hart, widow Dadley, then used as a garden, subject to the payment of 40/-s per ann to be employed for the distribution of bread to the poor of the Borough in consideration of £140.
