Office copy of the will [dated 23 April 1783] of Richard Lord of Stratford-upon-Avon, cordwainer, whereby he devised to his son John Lord of Stratford-upon-Avon, sadlers ironmonger, all his real property in Welford, co. Glos., and Stratford-upon-Avon together with all his personal estate and appointed the said John Lord his executor and made other provisions in case the said John Lord should predecease him; herein he mentions his daughter-in-law, Phoebe Bell, his son-in-law Ephraim Bell of Baines Row Coldbath Fields, London, watchmaker, Robert Wheler of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, Thomas Ashford of Stratford-upon-Avon, sadlers ironmonger, Sarah his wife and Elizabeth Davenport Ashford their daughter. Witnesses: Robert Bell, Samuel Hudson and Thos. Hudson. Will proved the 1st January 1787 at Worcester by John Lord, son and sole executor of Richard Lord. 5 f.
