Description

Quitclaim from Alexander de Crulef' to the Abbot and Convent of Stonl' of all his right in the common pasture, housebote, heybote, fyrbote and other profits in the wastes and woods within the manor of Stonl' enclosed on the day of the making of this charter, those namely which the said Abbot and Convent held enclosed in 28 Edward I, saving to the grantor and his heirs right of seeking common and other profits against others who have enclosed the said waste. Witnesses: Thomas Boydin of Stretton', Thomas de Suham, Robert Baudewyn', John de Heyford, John de Fynham and others. Dated at Stonl' in the feast of St. Valentine 28 Edward I. Seal on tag: pointed oval, white, indecipherable. Endorsed: i) Quieta clamancia Alex. de Crulefeld ii) pro communia estoveriorum in omnibus vastis de Stonley [AG] iii) Sevenhokes inclosed by Alexander Vinter' and 4 acres by Robert Pyckerel. Salva communia pasture in Sevenhookes et Forwood et Grymswood. [AG]
