Counterpart of lease, indented, from John Palmer, one of the chaplains of the chapel of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc. of Stratford upon Auen, to John Gayton, `skynner' and Alice his wife, of a tenement and a cottage separately situated in Stratford, the tenement in le Myddulrow between a tenement of John Whyte, chaplain, and a little lane there, and the cottage in Walkerstrete between the granges of the said John Palmer and John Couper, `corvycer', for 40 years at an annual rent of 12 shillings Witnesses: John Burnham, `capitalis ballivus', John Mayel, junior, and William Beoley, `subballivi', Hugh Salford, Robert Thorne and others Dated at Stratford, Friday in the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 13 Henry VI Seal lost. The lease was sealed by Thomas Iremonger, master of the Gild, Richard Broke and Thomas Ballesale, proctors of the same
