Kingshill in Stoneleigh deeds and papers

Description

Lease from William Peersonne of Fynham, gent., to Thomas Leighe of Stonley, esq., of six lands or ridges of arable land in a field belonging to the village or hamlet of Kynges Hull in the parish of Stonley called Hilwoodfeilde and all other the lands, hades, pitts, commons, profits and commodities whatsoever of the said William which he holds for a term of divers years yet to come of George Kevett, gent., by indenture dated 26 June, 13 Elizabeth [1571]; to hold the same to the said Thomas for 16 years from the feast of the Blessed Virgin next ensuing, rendering annually one red rose at Midsummer.
