Grant by John Palmer, junior, of Stratford upon Auen, to John James, barker, and Alice his wife, of a half burgage in Stratford in le Rotherstrete between messuages of Saint Mary on one side and of Saint John on the other, which he had of the gift and feoffment of Agnes Adames, daughter and heiress of William Adames Witnesses: John Blaunfron, `capitalis ballivus', John Lokyer and Richard F[r]etter, `subballivi', Nicholas Saucer, William Westyngdon and others Dated at Stratford, Sunday before the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Mary, 6 Henry IV Endorsed: "Carta Gilde de Stratford' de dim' burgagio in Rotherstrete" S' plus; [=Sancte Crucis] Seal of red wax, circular, damaged.
