Description

Gift with warranty from Roger de Cress' and Cecily his wife to William son of Sweyn, for his homage and service, and in consideration of 40 shillings paid to him, 2 shillings to Cecily his wife and 12 pence paid to Roger his heir, of a corner of his demesne wood, namely that which lies next the hedge of the said William and extends from the entrance (janua) of the same William to the ditch of Kingeshull' where the Court appointed (ubi curia constituta fuit), namely at the way which leads to Holemere [Holmer]; to hold to same to the said William, his heirs and assigns (except monks), rendering annually to the said Roger 8 pence (2 terms). Witnesses: Ralph de Fineham, John son of James, Roger Eir, William de Luda [Lude], John Tokevill', Geoffrey de Burestrode [Bulstrode], Adam de Norht, Hebert de Bosco and many others.
