Description

Award of John Dugdale of Coventry, esq. (reciting that there had been a dispute between Thomas Lord Leigh of Stoneleigh and Christopher Grissold of Stoneleigh, miller, concerning a tithe of 20 shillings per annum payable out of Pipes Mills situate in Stoneleigh for the final ending whereof the parties had submitted themselves to the award of the said John Dugdale by entering into bonds, dated 8 July 1682) that Christopher Grissold should pay to Thomas Lord Leigh £7. 10s. 0d. (being 7 1/2 years' arrears of the said tithe payable out of the said Pipes Mills at 20 shillings per annum) and also 10 pounds for charges at law, although it appeared that the said Thomas Lord Leigh had expended £17. 8s. 2d. in the Court of Litchfield and in the Court of Kings Bench at Westminster during the controversy.
