Letter from Christopher Gregory to his brother, Arthur Gregory, acknowledging the receipt of a letter of 13 September, and hoping that he is right in thinking that Arthur wishes to put an end to `the unnaturall dealing begunne betweene us'; assuring him that the actions which he has taken against Arthur, i.e. the arrest at Coventry, and the commencement of the suit in London, were only `to pricke you forward to performe your promise in the first payment'. Dated at Kirkby Overcar. Endorsed: To the right w. my welebeloved brother Mr Arthure Gregory geve these at Stichall. Trace of seal. Enclosed are conditions to which Christopher wishes his brothers, Arthur and Edmund, to agree [no. 1606].
