Description

Administration of the will (26 November 1842) and codicil (21 November 1850) of Thomas Jephcott, Kilsby, Northants., farmer, granted to his brother Richard Jephcott, Alcester, gent., the two executors named in will and codicil having predeceased testator. a) Copyhold land and premises at Braunston, Northants., to trustees: brother Richard Jephcott, Alcester, gent., and John Cowley, Kilsby Lodge, Northants., grazier, chargeable with repayment of £150 owing to sister Ann Jephcott upon promissory note and interest; to pay rent charges due to sisters Ann and Sarah under terms of father's will and to divide residue of income equally among testator's brothers and sisters, viz: Jonathan, William, Richard, Samuel, Mary, Elizabeth, Ann and Sarah during lives of Ann and Sarah, then to sell and divide equally among testator's nephews and niece, viz: William, son of William, Samuel Thomas, son of Samuel, Mary Ann Agnes and Robert, children of Richard. b) Freehold house and appurtenances in Kilsby in testator's occupation to be sold for benefit of nephews and nieces. c) Personal estate to sister Mary who is sole executrix. Codicil Mary dead therefore brother William personal legatee and sole executor.
