Chesterton: early deeds

Description

Grant by Roger Leye and Matilda his wife to William Leye his heirs and assigns, of part of their garden, between their dovecote and the messauge which Aubyn formerly held; measuring 24 feet in length and 64 in breadth. To hold to the said William, his heirs and assigns, paying annually therefore one penny at Easter in lieu of all secular exactions nad demands.
