Lease and Release: Chapel Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Lease for a year dated 19 July 1771 and Release dated 20 July 1771, from Elizabeth Hicks of Stratford-upon-Avon, widow of Robert Hicks, late of the same place, upholsterer, and John Hicks of Birmingham, engraver, eldest son of the above, to William Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon, gent., for £18 of a piece of garden ground whereupon two messuages, cottages or tenements lately stood and which have been lately taken down and also the gardens and the appurtenances thereunto belonging situate in Stratford-upon-Avon near the Avon side at or towards the end of Chapel Lane or Walkers Street, formerly in the tenures of William Buck and Joseph Buck and now in the occupation of the said William Hunt.
