Description

Partition between Thomas Brown of Uppingham, co. Rutland, gentleman, and Anna his wife of the one part, and John Brown of of Hinckley, co. Leics., esquire, of the other part, being a conveyance from the said Thomas, Anna and John Brown to Thomas Bennett of 12 Queen Square, Bloomsbury, co. Middx., gentleman, (reciting the will of William Brown late of Hinckley, esq., dated 24 March 1808, whereby the said Thomas and John Brown are now seised as tenants in common of the manor, or of Stretton Baskerville) for £4425 paid by Thomas Brown to John Brown (being the difference in value of the two parts into which the estate was to be partitioned) of the manor of Stretton Baskerville, a farm in Stretton Baskerville (field-names) containing 172a 2r 24p late in the tenure of Thomas Ashmore, 20a 3r 37p of land in Stretton Baskerville, late in the tenure of Robert Timson, a messuage and land in Stretton Baskerville late in the tenure of Moses Hands, and seven cottages in Stretton Baskerville; to hold in trust for the said Thomas Brown. Map annexed showing the land allotted to John Brown to be the farm in Hydes Pastures.
