These photographs were mainly taken between 1890 - 1935 by Oliver Baker, a professional photographer of Birmingham and later of Stratford and Bearley. He wrote, or contributed to, several books for which a number of these photographs may have been taken.' The Vale of Arden' by Alfred Hayes with illustrations by O.
