Windsor and Greenhill Streets, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Copy of the will dated 13 June and of codicil dated 15 June 1791, of Jonas Burbrough of Stratford upon Avon, yeoman. Includes a devise to his kinswoman Ann, wife of Jabez Jagger, of his messuage with the buildings and garden belonging in the occupation of Jabez Jagger, one half of his barn and of the hay and goods therein together with part of a close adjoining and the gardens in the occupation of Jabez Jagger, Samuel Sambadge and Cale extending from the NW corner of the said barn to land belonging to Messrs. Ashford and Lord, all in Stratford. Also a devise to Anthony Burbrough, baker, a son of his nephew John Burbrough, of the 7 cottages in Windsor Street, the other half of the said barn and the remaining part of the said close. The rest of the property devised, all in Stratford, consists of the cottage in his own occupation with the other cottages adjoining in the Meer Pool Lane, devised to Anthony Burbrough's eldest brother, and 2 cottages in the Meer Pool Lane and 3 leasehold messuages in Henley Street devised to Anthony Burbrough's youngest brother. Proved at Worcester 6 November 1797.
