Description

Settlement on the marriage of Richard Walford of Stratford-upon-Avon, draper, to Isabell Hathaway, daughter of Richard Hathaway of Stratford, baker, being a feoffment from the said Richard Hathaway to John Hall of the same, gentleman, and William Smith of the same, haberdasher, of all those tenements in Yelie Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, in the several tenures of Tyne Boyse, Roger Durye and George Robins, between the land of Stratford Corporation in the tenure of John Wheler [47-8] and a tenement in the occupation of Thomas Knighte [52]; also a messuage in the tenure of the said Richard in Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon between the tenement of John Wheeler and a tenement of William Slater;

to hold to the use of the said Richard for life, and after his decease to the use of Priscilla his wife, and after her decease to the use of the said Richard Walford and Isabell his wife and their heirs.

Copy attested as in DR237/2. Endorsed with notes that Richard and Isabell Walford's children were Ann and Priscilla, and that Ann married John Edwards and Priscilla married Bartholomew Bull.
