Conveyance from Richard Greaves of Cliff House, Warwick, esquire, with the consent of William Bevington Lowe of Ettington, gentleman, Susanna Lowe of the same, spinster, Jeffery Bevington Lowe of the same, gentleman, Joseph Gibbins of Houndshill, Alderman esquire, and Sarah his wife, to the said William and Jeffery Lowe, reciting the will of John Whitehead, the will of Margaret Lowe, a settlement of 14 October 1840, and a conveyance of 21 October 1864 (see below, DR318/5/vii,viii and ix) and reciting that it had been agreed between the heirs of Margaret Lowe to divide their estate between them in order to facilitate building development, of two closes of land called the Black Grounds near the lane leading out of Birmingham Road at the One Elm towards Clopton, containing 14a 1r 35p, late in the occupation of John Whitehead, but now of Mary Cole, widow; to hold the same in trust to sell, and to divide the proceeds, as to one fourth part, according to the uses of the recited settlement, and, as to the three other parts, between William Lowe, Jeffery Lowe and Susanna Lowe.
