Description

Indentures of Lease and Release dated the 12 13 November 1765, by William Bell of Crutched Fryers, London, surgeon and apothecary, (grandson and devisee of John Bromley, late of Stratford-upon-Avon, innholder, deceased) to Richard Lord of Stratford-upon-Avon, shoemaker, of a messuage in Chappel Street called the Falcon, being a corner house standing over against the Chappel and theretofore in the possession of Peter Frensham afterwards of William Bryan alias Stephens, widow Spiers, and John Bromley successively and then of Neighbour Knight, which messuage was devised by the said John Bromley to William Bell after the decease of Alice, widow of John Bromley, and Susannah Lord, daughter of the said John, both of whom were then dead, together with all appurtenances for £120. Signed: William Bell; seal of red wax. Witnesses: Phoebe Bell and J. Browne. Lease by Wm. Bell to Richd. Lord of same premises for one year. Signed sealed and witnessed as before.
