Description

Surrender by Thomas Combe of Old Stratford, esq., to William Combe, son of John Combe of Alchurch, co. Worc., of his life interest in a messuage, lands, etc. in Bishop's Hampton, al. Hampton Lucy, late in the tenure of Alice Hawkes, widow, which on 25 February 1656/7 had been granted, at the instance of Thomas Combe, by Anthony Bonner of Quinton, co. Glouc., gent., Henry Smith of Old Stratford, gent., William Walker, of Stratford-upon-Avon, mercer, William Greene of Stratford upon Avon, draper, and William Cale and Embery Becke, servants of Thomas Combe to William Lyndon and Nicholas Ryland, both of Stratford-upon-Avon, gents. to hold to the use of Thomas Combe for life, with remainder to William Combe and his heirs in tail and remainders over to Thomas Combe and John Combe, his brothers, severally in tail.
