Miscellaneous papers: Archer of Tanworth

Description

Letter of pardon/indulgence distributed by Brother Roger [Lynton] of the house of St Radegunde of Thelsford [of the Order of Trinitarians for the redemption of christian captives] to John and Alice Archer. The document lists privileges granted by Popes from Clement VI to Sixtus IV. On the dorse is a standard absolution.

Unlike the other friars, the Trinitarians farmed out their collections, so this would probably have been distributed by an ordinary pardoner
