Petition addressed to the King by Nicholas [?Saucer] and Thomas O--- on behalf of themselves and the rest of the brothers and sisters of the Fraternity and Gild of the Holy Cross at Stratford Recites, apparently, the constitution of the Gild, its capacity to hold land c. speaks of the 5th year of the reign of the King's progenitor (Evidently a reference to the confirmation of 5 Edw.III, 12 November1333) and mentions that the Gild is likely for some reason to be dissolved and destroyed, and concludes with the prayer, that it may by royal license or otherwise continue the same fraternity and Gild
