Conveyance from Robert Boyce of Wellesbourne, esq., with the consent of Sarah Court, widow of Richard Court, late of Stratford-upon-Avon, apothecary, and Sarah Poole of Islington, co. Middx., widow, daughter of the said Richard Court, to Thomas Badger of Stratford-upon-Avon, tinman, of a messuage in [High Street] Stratford-upon-Avon [the site of no. 6]; which messuage, on 28/29 April 1675 (then in the occupation of the said Richard Court , of Stratford-upon-Avon, gent., with'the land called the chamber land toward the street on the north side', a messuage of John Tant on the south, and chamber land in the tenure of Richard Walker on the east) had been mortgaged by Richard Court, and Sarah his wife, to Sir Thomas Cookes of Bentley Pauncefote, co. Worcs., bart.; and which mortgage had been assigned to Robert Boyce, on 16 June 1694.
