Lease and release reciting nos. 8-9, the release being: i) a conveyance from William Tompkins of Stratford-upon-Avon, mercer, and his trustee, with the consent of John Wells of Shennington in Alderminster, gentleman, to Bernard MacHenry of Chipping Norton, co. Oxon., mercer, and his trustee (Thomas Smith of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman) for £220, of a messuage in High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, in the tenure of William Tompkins an assignment from the said John Wells, with the consent of William Tompkins and Bernard MacHenry, to John Barnhurst of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, (for £200 paid to John Wells by Bernard MacHenry) of a term of 500 years created by a mortgage of 25 March 1797 [no. 8]; to hold the same in trust for Bernard MacHenry, to attend the freehold and inheritance.
