S.N. Cooke Ltd, 18 Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, drapers: sales ledger and day book, with photocopy advertisement of the firm's premises in Birmingham, 1855, and rough notes on the Cooke family, from 1820 to 1982. S.N. Cooke founded his business in Birmingham in 1852, with later branches established in a number of Midlands towns, including Stratford-upon-Avon in 1923. The Stratford outlet was moved from 18 Wood Street to 11 Meer Street, c. 1986, and closed, c. 1992.
