Letter from J.Newman Hank of Washington DC, USA, dated at Stratford-upon-Avon, to 'Dear Sister Havenner', describing in summary form his travels in England and Ireland (place-names only), but with a more detailed description of his recent visit to Shakespeare's Birthplace ('You have an engraving of the house in the other page: I purchased this sheet from the lady curator of the place, in the very room where Shakespeare was born') and Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon; ends with a request to give his 'love to the young ladies who were in the school last year' and to 'Brother Havenner' and seven other named brothers and to 'all brethren and sisters who may enquire after me'.
