Description
Facsimile copy of the will of Nicholas Brome of Woodloes, esq., requesting that he be buried within the church door of Baddesley Clinton 'as the people may tred uppon mee when they com into the church' and that on his grave be laid 'a flatt stone of marble'; arranging for the celebration of masses for the safety of his soul; directing that those enfeoffed of his lands in Woodloes, Woodcote, Norton Curlieu, Offchurch and Eathorp shall hold them to the use of his son Edward; directing that his lands in Lyndon and Shirley pass to his son Ralph on reaching the age of 21; and directing that those enfeoffed of his lands in Baddesley Clinton shall hold them to the use of Sir Edward Ferrers and Dame Constance his wife [daughter of the testator]
