Description

Draft bond from the Rev. H.C. Knight of Oak Hill house, West Cowes, I.O.W. clerk and C.R. Knight of 36 Montague Square co. Middx. esq. to William Palmer of Birmingham gent. in the sum of £2,000, reciting a conveyance of even date from John Bullar and W.F. Beadon to the said William Palmer in consideration of £[blank] of messuages and lands comprising Crowley's farm, part of Oldberrow Hill farm and Heath farm in Ullenhall, Wootton Wawen and Oldberrow, cos. Warwick and Worcester, and rentcharge in lieu of tithes apportioned thereon in Ullenhall. The said messuages and lands were contracted to be sold free of land tax, but on investigation of the title, conclusive evidence of extinguishment of land tax had not been furnished, whereon the said H.C. Knight and C.R. Knight bound themselves to indemnify the purchaser against any possible incidence of land tax on these properties. Schedule of lands with description and quantity.
