Gift from Joan and Emmotte daughters and heirs of John Nuby of Baddesley Clynton' to John Mayell' of Warrewyk' and John Baxster priest of the same of lands, tenements, rents, reversions, services, meadows, pastures, feedings, with hedges, ponds, ditches, moors and all liberties and appurtenances in Baddesley Clynton', which lately belonged to the said John Nuby and which he had held by the gift and feoffment of Thomas Cokkus of Couentr' passenger. To hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Warranty clause. Sealing clause. Given at Warrewyk' Monday next before the feast of [the Nativity] of St. John the Baptist 8 Henry VI [19 June 1430]. On a broad tag slit to take two seals, two circular seals of red wax. 3/4 in. 1. Figure of the Blessed Virgin Mary standing with the Holy Child in her arms. Legend obscure. 2. The letter R crowned between two sprigs of foliage.
