Description
Gift from John Weston' of Warr' and John Hulle the elder chaplain to William Medewey and Alice his wife, of Rowynton' and the heirs of the said Alice of lands and tenements with meadows, pastures, feedings, woods, hedges, ditches and appurtenances in Baddysley Clynton' and Rowynton' which the said grantors held by the gift and feoffment of Richard Palmere passeng' of Couentr' and Hugh Freman of Thomworth'. To hold the same from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Sealing clause. Witnesses: John Fox then Bailiff of Rowynton; William Nothyng; Thomas Wodegate; Thomas Harpere of the same; William Goodman de Baddesley Clynton' and others. Given at Baddesley Clynton' on the feast of the Circumcision of the Lord 5 Henry V [1 January 1417/18]. Seals: 1. Seal and tag cut away. 2. Circular seal of red wax on tag. 3/4 in.
