Memorandum on 2 July 2 Edward IV [1462] by Brother William Mildenhale, Master of the Newe Temple within the Barres of London, as confessor to Nicholas Metley who died in the said Temple on Tuesday the Morrow of St. Martin the Bishop i.e. 12 November 1437 and who made his will as testified by Thomas Yonge now serjeant-at-law in Chancery on 28 June 2 Edward IV [1462] in the schedule annexed, that he the said William Mildenhale was present when the said Nicholas Metley made his will and when it was taken to the said Thomas Yonge to be engrossed, and that there were also present [William] Venor' late Warden of the Fleet, [Sir John] Throkmarton' [d. 1445] sometime Under treasurer of England and many other `worshypfull men'.
