Bargain sale and feoffment from Richard Byrde of Rowington gent. and Margery his wife, William Byrde, son and heir of the said Richard, and Agnes his wife, John Burgoyn of Rowington gent. and Leonard Worslye of Great Kington gent. to Richard Hodgkines of Rowington husbandman of a messuage in Rowington in the occupation of Elizabeth White widow, one croft in Rowington and Badglye Clynton called the Greene field lying next to the close belonging to Henry Ferrers esq.called the Great Greene field on the one side and a lane leading towards Badglye on the other, and in length stretching from Brownes grove to a place called Gylbertes Style. Also two other closes in Rowington and Badglye, one lying by a certain park pale called Badglye Park pale on the one side and a lane leading from the said messuage to Brownes grove on the other, the other close lying between land belonging to the parish church at Rowington on the one hand and the lane leading towards Badglye on the other, together with all appurtenances and the deeds relating to the same. To hold the same as of the manor of Rowington for fealty and 14d. annually in lieu of all services. Warranty clause. Consideration: £44. 1 March 5 James I [1608].
