Description

Assignment of Leasehold from Thomas Smith of Bearley, stone mason, to William Smith of Bearley, stonemason (reciting an indenture of 23 August 1595 whereby Thomas Perks of Bearley, husbandman, demised to William Townsend of Snitterfield, husbandman, certain lands, for 1000 years, which term by various mesne assurances had become vested in Thomas Smith) of a messuage in Bearley adjoining on one end to the messuage of William Smith and at the other end to the messuage of Samuel Turner, and also a garden, bounded by the garden of Samuel Turner on one side and land called the Park on another side thereof, a garden and rickyard in the possession of John Creed belonging to Kings College, Cambridge on another side thereof and a messuage and garden of --- Lane and --- Gibbs on another side thereof; with certain easements more particularly described therein. Witnesses: Jeremiah Jordan and Thomas Barnhurst.
