Description

Gift with warranty from William Verney called Passenham clerk, to Richard Blaby clerk, of a capital messuage with appurtenances in `vico epicopi' [Bishop's Street] in Coventr' once belonging to Roger de Newlond', and all that croft with a grange and other appurtenances in le Doglane in Coventr' called le Barneplace, and one piece of land with appurtenances called Stonleypece lying next to Hyllmyllmedowe in Coventr' between the lands of William Teyton' and Nicholas Alyn', all of which once belonged to the said Roger Newlond'; with the further gift of a messuage with a curtilage and appurtenances next to Coventr' in Styvechale once belonging to Henry de Shulton' formerly rector of the church of Botyndon', lying between the land of the lady of Shulton' and the land of William Canley in breadth and reaching in length from the highway as far as the field of the principal park; also one toft in Condulm' [Coundon] and all the arable land called Geffereyesfeldes with the adjacent moor and with meadows, woods, and all other appurtenances which formerly belonged to William Steven' of Condulm' and Isabella his wife, the daughter of Simon Chatell'; to hold the same for ever of the chief lord of the fee. A standing figure of the Virgin and Child with a kneeling suppliant, the whole within a decorated cusped 8-foil.
